DAY 1
Arrival in Addis Ababa, transfer to the hotel and you’ll have time for a city tour.
DAY 2
Morning flight to Gondar and explore the 17th C capital with its Castles and monastery.
DAY 3
Scenic drive to the Simien Mountains and trek from Chilquanit to Sankaber (3-4hrs). Camping at Sankaber (3200m)
DAY 4
Trek from Sankaber to Geech through Aimetre view point and the Jimbar water falls. Camping at Geech (3600m)
DAY 5
Trek from Geech to Chenek (8-9hrs) through the best view points at Imitgogo (3926m) and Enatye (4090m). Camping at Chenek.
DAY 6
Trek to Buhait from where you will have a view of Mnt. Ras Dashen. Continue your trek to Ambiquo campsite through Meshah river. (9-10hrs)
DAY 7
Early morning Trek to Ras Dashen, highest peak in Ethiopia. Back to your camp site late in the afternoon. (11-12hrs)
DAY 8
Trek to Sona (8-9hrs), last campsite on the highlands with great views as the sun
sets.
DAY 9
Walk down to the Ansia River with its water running from the highlands. Relax in the river before you leave for Lamo camp (5-6hrs)
DAY 10
Trek to Derek Wenz, where you relax and swim in the natural swimming pool before you leave for Mulit camp (5-6hrs)
DAY 11
Walk to Adiarkay (2-3hrs) to meet your vehicle to drive back to Gondar
DAY 12
End of the trip and departure depending on flight times.
