Wonchi-crater lake
Besides Wonchi lake, the caldera also contains hot springs, waterfalls, valleys, and other scenery. There are two islands in the lake. On one of the islands there is an ancient church called Cherkos monastery. One can reach the islands and the monastery by ferry. Due to its unique topography, Wanchi is blessed with varieties of animal and plant species.
Menagesha Suba Park
Menagesha suba is one of the historical and oldest conservation areas in Ethiopia history. Currently the park habitat for Varity of wild animals and bird species with indigenous plants.
Melka Archeological site
Melka Kunture biggest Neolithic stations in Ethiopia -. It is located near the gorge, in which flows the river Auasz in the vicinity of the city of Melka Awash. The museum exhibits tools Rock Temple Adadi Mariam is located. It was established at the same time that rock temples in Lalibela – in XIII century. It is told that the king Lalibela ordered to build it to have a place to pray on the road to Mount Ziquala. And Tiya is the other rock grave steles created around 800 years ago.
Entoto Natural Park
Entoto Natural Park is the unique place to discover the vastest primaeval mountain area with streams flowing out from clear springs and waterfall where it amazes with absolutely stunningly dramatic places for relaxation or completely hilarious water activities in diverse meandering streams which continues to naturally create hidden rock vaults.
Shger/ Friendship/ Park
Shger Park is found in front of Sheraton Addis Hotel. The newly exuberant park is part of making Addis Ababa an urban tourism site by rehabilitating water bodies. The park comprises cultural centers, an art gallery, and places of Science and technology, cafeterias, etc. The park which perched in the center of Addis Ababa makes it easily accessible from every corner of Addis Ababa.
Unity Park
Visiting the park gives myriad of options to visit which ranges from the black manned Ethiopian lion zoo to the banquet hall of Emperor Menelik ll the founder of the palace, from the throne hall to gesturing the ostrich and unity zoo which keeps Meerkat, Aquarium, Peacocks, Cheetah, White Lions, and Wild dogs, Gelada Baboons, Aviary and Safari. Apart from that, the park boasts a pavilion dedicated to the various people and ethnic groups of Ethiopia.
National Museum
It contains many precious local archaeological finds such as the fossilized remains of early hominids, the most famous of which is “Lucy,” the partial skeleton of a specimen of Australopithecus afarensis. Recently added to the basement gallery is a display on Selam, found between 2000 and 2004.
